Would you re-elect Abraham lincoln if he was alive?
What political party do you think he would be in this time around and why?
Answer by Ronin
Not sure, is he pro-choice? I kinda doubt it.
Answer by EXPOSE LIBERALS
Republican, just like he was a Republican before. Democrats are a racist party full of KKK members like Robert Sheets Byrd so Lincoln wouldn’t be a Democrat.
If Lincoln ran for president today, liberal Democrats would be calling him a war-mongering evil dictator who was trying to steal the election. Straight of of the Democrat’s traitor anti-American playbook.
Answer by rukidding
Depends on what he had to say. He might be very different now than when he was alive.
Answer by Randy C
He would be a Liberal Republican like John McCain or Rudy Giuliani.
He was a Constitutionalists though he belonged to the Republican party. Unfortunately wit the inevitable globalization of the economy it is highly impractical that he would believe that staying out of foreign affairs would be pragmatic.
He would attempt to unite this country as he did with the Gettysburg Address and remain in the middle desperately attempting to hold together the fabric of our society and Constitution.
I WOULD VOTE FOR LINCOLN

Answer by Lady Laissez Faire
You sound like my friends uncle….I don’t think he even knows who the President is, to be honest with you.
Answer by S O
Tea Party.

In this new consideration of Lincoln s public philosophy the nation s understanding of itself Sands seeks to determine why the spirit that successfully led the Union through the Civil War was unable to sustain itself during Reconstruction. He defines Lincolnism as a rededication to the principle of natural rights, a narrative of Divine Providence, a sentiment of brotherhood, and an augmentation of founding principles. He then explains how Lincoln s assassination, Johnson s succession, and developments in philosophy and science worked to undermine this philosophy after the war.

I guess I’m a Republican I still love J F K! Abe was a good president too!
Republican, and would have voted for JFK; as his platform closely matches what the Republicans are nowadays.
I am a republican.. but I am voting for both Democrat’s this election.
I do not agree with Mccain and it is to risky to have Palin in case of his passing. She is in way over her head
I am a Republican and the only Democrats I would consider voting for are Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Jimmy Carter. MAYBE LBJ .
Abraham Lincoln for sure, and probably Teddy Roosevelt.
But that was another planet from what we’ve seen from current Republicans.
JFK, Jimmy Carter ….. Carter because I’d had enough of Nixon and Ford’s amnesty, JFK because Nixon came of as a jerk in the presidential debates.
I am a democrat that did vote for Reagan. I voted for Clinton. I voted for Gore. But this year I will vote for McCain.
My very 1st vote
and
My very 1st mistake
was Bush 1
George W Bush
not
Lyndon Johnson – He was instrumental in eliminating a traitor to this Country
You are part of the George Bush / Sarah Palin / John McCain version of the Republican Party.
I’d say you are a democrat.
dollar says you cook meth
None. You are, supposedly, a human being, not a political party. If you want to know which party you are registered with, look on your voter registration card, it probably says which one. If you don’t have to register by party in your state, then you can be an Independent.
The doochbag party
in a beat! I think he would be Conservative.
He would be 197 years old. I think old age would have got him by now.
I’m not sure blacks would want to
In Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation of Sept. 1862 he said: “I have urged the colonization of the Negroes, (back to Africa), and
I shall continue. My Emancipation Proclamation was linked with this plan (of colonization). There is no room for two distinct races of White men in America, much less for two distinct races of Whites andBlacks. . . . I can think of no greater calamity than the assimilation of the negro into our social and political life as our equal . . Within twenty years we can peacefully colonize the Negro . . . under conditions in which he can rise to the full measure of manhood. This he can never do here. We can never attain the ideal union our fathers dreamed, with millions of an alien, inferior race among us, whose assimilation is neither possible nor desirable.” Lincoln actually proposed an amendment to the constitution that would’ve authorized congress to recolonize all freed Blacks back to Africa. On Aug. 15, l962, Congress did appropriate over half a million dollars for that purpose. Thousands of Negroes had been shipped back when Lincoln was shot.
2nd Answerer, you are being malicious and living in the past. Please educate yourself by reading my response.
Over America’s history, democrats and republicans have switched ideologies. That is why most African-Americans are democrats now, not as they used to be. Lincoln would be pro-choice so most likely democrat. Yes, I would vote for him.
I don’t know. He’d be pretty out of touch with events, wouldn’t he?
My name is Abraham, would you elect me?
