Why do I get punished in school for questioning the policies of Abraham Lincoln?
If I even dare to criticize the tyrant during discussions in class or in an essay I get an F. I have a 3.9 GPA for christ sakes, so I’m no dummy. The Damn statists don’t like ANYONE disagreeing with their ways.
He KILLED 600,000 americans with his UNNECESSARY war. Yet, he is worshiped and deified by people.

You are being vague. I have no idea of the situation so therefor I can’t answer your question.

You should question the past leaders of your country they are the reason the USA has never been out of debt. History is written by them but they are really money grabbing thefts like all leaders. Worshiping them leaders is like worshiping your boss at work. Below a link to the money each president stole.

Reared in a poor family on the western frontier, he was mostly self-educated.
No school
“Reared in a poor family on the western frontier, he was mostly self-educated.”
“Before Lincoln entered school, Lincoln’s cousin, Dennis Hanks, claimed credit for giving Abe “his first lesson in spelling, reading and writing.” “I taught Abe to write with a buzzards quill which I killed with a rifle and having made a pen-put Abes hand in mind [sic] and moving his fingers by my hand to give him the idea of how to write.” Abraham learned these basic skills slowly.[9]
His formal education consisted of perhaps 18 months of schooling from itinerant teachers. In effect he was self-educated, studying every book he could borrow. He mastered Aesop’s Fables, the Bible, Shakespeare, English history and American history, and developed a plain style that puzzled audiences more used to orotund oratory. He avoided hunting and fishing because he did not like killing animals even for food and, though unusually tall (6 ft 3.75in or 1.925m) and strong, spent so much time reading that some neighbors thought he must be doing it to avoid strenuous manual labor. He was skilled with an axe—they called him the “rail splitter”—and a good wrestler.”
Your information is incorrect. You obviously didn’t get a 3.9 (which is doubtful) for telling the truth, that’s for sure. Maybe you got an F for stupidity.
Perhaps it has something to do with your lack of tact. If you were really as clever as you think yourself to be, perhaps you should consider expressing your argument with a modicum of respect for nuance. While historical characterisations of Lincoln are quite often hagiographic in nature, and challenging these rather reductionist assessments is a valid and worthy pursuit; you do an utter disservice to your argument by being a polemicist and acting like an infantile iconoclast. If your argument merely consists of ranting, then perhaps you deserved an F.
“don’t like ANYONE disagreeing with their ways”
You got it ! I got in trouble too in the second grade (yes I was just that intelligent lol) for saying that Columbus didn’t discover or conquer anything because the native Indians were already living here when he pulled up on his ‘Nina, Pinta, and Santa Marie’ and took their land over. And that he didn’t mean anything to me. Schools have their favorite White men and “founding fathers” that you can’t dispute or else you’ll get in trouble for it or get a bad grade. My family taught me the real truth from the time I was a wee little one. Lincoln also didn’t “free the slaves” (those Black slaves) because he loved them. Nooo no, it was all a political move period. And a favorable move for him. It wasn’t really about the slaves.
So you are no dummy, then stand up and be heard!!! A discussion is open season FOR opinions! Nobody is right and nobody is wrong! And I would definately point out AS an individual, you are still free to speak your mind, without the threat of being punished, which would be a violation of our Constitution!! I would make the teacher justify that F to you and the rest of the class! Politics has NO PLACE in a learning center. If it is, it is nothing more than a recruiting center for the teachers agenda!
He didn’t start the war, did he?
Who fired the first shot?
Who attempted to secede through violence, rather than legally?
You may have a 3.9 GDP but you are not very bright. Obviously, you are not learning to disassociate between learning what the teacher is teaching and expressing your own opinion. There is a curriculum. You are required to learn it and regurgitate it to show you have learned it. There is no requirement that you accept it.
In classes where the debate and opinion are the lesson, your opinions are important. But not in history, science, math, geography, languages etc. There you study, learn and regurgitate.
Smart? Perhaps. Wise, no.
BTW- not that I am assuming that you are trolling or anything but how does one maintain a 3.9 GDP if one is consistently getting “F’s” in one of your classes?
*
Probably because you’re impeding everyone else’s ability to learn.
For example, some jackass spouting conspiracy theories during a lecture related to terrorism and 9/11 would significantly slow the flow of factual information
lol, someone has a second account.
the chances of you being in school, discussing Lincoln, and actually having the grade point average you mention, are the same chances that my father is Clay Aiken, and my mother, Rosie O’Donnell.
Because the man has been dead for over a 100 years. You bickering about policies that old is annoying, trivial, and smart ass antics
A smarter person would know how to filter…
