Pick a place: Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, and about 95 counties full of other places. What kind of history do you want?
Born in Tennessee, raised in Tennessee, educated in Tennessee, travelled the whole state for 30 years.

Who are some good role models for students that don’t make good grades?
(I’m trying to make a list!)?
Growing up, I knew that Albert Einstein’s principal said he wasn’t ever going to be anything in life, but also I was reading this online profile of the Illinois Governor Milorad “Rod” Blagojevich…
————————————-
Earlier this month, he told 300 students at a South Side youth rally that he got a D in Algebra and said even that “was a classic case of grade inflation.” At the dedication of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, he revealed he received an 18 on his ACT test–out of a possible 36. In the debate over tougher ethics laws, he sidestepped some questions by remarking that he received only a C in constitutional law and was lucky to get that.
Pepperdine law
“I’m not passing myself off as a constitutional scholar,” Blagojevich said. “I went to law school at a place called Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif., overlooking the Pacific Ocean–a lot of surfing and movie stars and all the rest. I barely knew where that law library was.”

I also read that the Governor of Alaska attended six colleges in order to graduate!
Please help me come up with some inspirational role-models for bad students…I’m barely pushing a 3.0 GPA and I’m a college student…I need this sort of boost =)

Bill Gates dropped out of college. Just because you’re not the greatest student doesn’t mean you won’t be successful.
P.S. I wouldn’t look up to the Gov. of Alaska if I were you. Her stupidity is somewhat of a national joke.

Dr. Ben Carson. He made straight F’s through most of his school years. His mother(who couldn’t read) got him to like learning, and he’s now a multi- millionaire nuero-surgeon. He found what interested him, studied it, and learned.

George w Bush was a lousy student and he went on to steal a US presidential election!
The Inspired Wisdom of Abraham Lincoln: How Faith Shaped an American President – and Changed the Course of a Nation
Not long after Lincoln’s assassination, the debate began: Was Lincoln a committed Christian or a confirmed skeptic? Scholar Philip Ostergard provides the answer with a thorough study of the president’s references to God, the Bible, and Christian principles in his letters and speeches. The Inspired Wisdom of Abraham Lincoln illustrates the depth of Lincoln’s knowledge of Scripture; the Bible’s influence on his character; and the development of his faith, particularly as he wrestled with the issue of slavery and led the nation through the tumultuous years of the Civil War. Readers will find this a fascinating and inspiring handbook of answers to the questions about one of our greatest presidents.
