The latter…since motion picture technology was developed some twenty years after Lincoln’s time (the late 1880s and early 1890s as opposed to the 16th President’s lifetime).

Are you serious? Motion pictures were not around when Lincoln was alive. They had photography, but no motion pictures. When motion pictures were first invented around the turn of the century, they didnt even have sound. “Talkies” didnt show up until the late 1920′s.
So, no…that is not “real video” of Abraham Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln: Twentieth-Century Popular Portrayals
Far more people have been exposed to the Lincoln legend through film than through any other means, including literature. In Abraham Lincoln: Twentieth Century Popular Portrayals, film historian Frank Thompson analyzes the most significant Lincoln films and plays of all time to reveal how their portrayals of him have formed Lincoln’s image in this century.

@George Clinton
That’s probably why the CLASSIC liberal North disliked Lincoln so much: he was for the conservative economic system england and other European nations had used since the 16th century.
@Mr Wolf
Party ideologies might change, but the Democratic and Republican party never completely switched. The Democrats have always been for a more regulated economy, whereas the Republicans have always been for a less regulated economy except for several presidents (Lincoln, Bush jr, Nixon).
Answer by George Clinton
Oh really?
Did you know that the people who left Europe and came here were seeking liberation, damn liberals?
Answer by ME
republicans were normal back then
Answer by Mr Wolf
What is your point?
Today’s Conservatives would have been considered Republican/small “c” conservatives by true Conservatives like William F. Buckley, Jr 30 years ago. Parties and ideologies change.
Answer by John
who cares, it is all about the views and the republicans had different views back then than they do now, not nearly the same, and if that doesn’t answer it how about this, the north is still a capitalist it never changed

A hip hop song related to abraham lincoln?
To celebrate Lincoln’s holiday I wanted to make a c walk tribute video. I need a couple ideas for hip hop songs related to abraham lincoln. it can’t be something like lollipop by lil wayne or something; it’s got to have some sort of a meaning.
Right now I have these songs in mind:
I have a dream-Common
Marionette-Expressions Crew
Imma Shine-Young Bloodz
(The last two aren’t really related to abe lincoln or segregation but if you listen to both they sound similar, so you get the gist of my style)
Answer by ThaPH

Because “Neo-Conservatism” only started somewhere around the 1940′s (I think)
