Wikipedia of Abe Lincoln lists his kids and one lived to adulthood while the other 3 died at ages 4,12,18. Does anybody know how they all died so young? Illness?

Eddie: “A long illness”–probably chronic consumption
Thomas (“Tad”): Probably tuberculosis
Willie: Apparently drank tainted water; said he died of typhoid feber
Robert Thomas: Died at 82 of a cerebral hemorrhage

lincoln had 4 sons robert eddie willie and thomas only 2 of them survived lincoln robert is the eldest here is a document of their deaths from blake. According to their peers, Mary and Abraham did not have good parenting skills.
Robert (Bob) Todd Lincoln: Born August 1, 1843 in Springfield, Illinois. At first Mary did not allow Robert to serve in the Union army. Later he did join and obtained the rank of Captain.
Robert worked as an attorney, and later as Secretary of War (1881-1885), Minister to Great Britain (1889-1992), and president of the Pullman Company.
On September 24, 1868 he married Mary Eunice Harlan. He had two daughters (Mary “Mamie” Lincoln and Jessie Harlan Lincoln) and a son (Abraham “Jack” Lincoln II). His son Jack died at age 16 on March 5, 1890 in London, England from blood poisoning.

Robert died at age 82 on July 26, 1926 at Hildene, his summer home in Vermont. Robert is buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Mary died on March 31, 1937. Pictures of Robert Lincoln.

On November 4, 1842 Lincoln married Mary Todd, daughter of a prominent slave-owning family from Kentucky. The couple had four sons. Robert Todd Lincoln was born in Springfield, Illinois on August 1, 1843. Their only child to survive into adulthood, young Robert attended Phillips Exeter Academy and Harvard College.

The other Lincoln children were born in Springfield, Illinois, and died either during childhood or their teen years. Edward Baker Lincoln was born on March 10, 1846, and died on February 1, 1850, also in Springfield. William “Willie” Wallace Lincoln was born on December 21, 1850, and died on February 20, 1862 in Washington, D.C., during President Lincoln’s first term. Thomas “Tad” Lincoln was born on April 4, 1853, and died on July 16, 1871 in Chicago.
