Have you ever heard of “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” movie by Tim Burton?
To be released in 2012? Based on the novel.

Politically speaking, do you think this is Hollywood’s way of being pro-Obama, since they will release it in a presidential election year, and Obama is most like Abe Lincoln?

Will the movie be true to the book in depicting Southern conservative Confederates as bloodthirsty vampires? Personally, I think the movie will be awesome. My only complaint is that Quentin Tarantino won’t be directing it.

It’s Hollywood’s way of jumping on a small but hot commodity and trying to profit from it. The year is probably just the fastest they can get the movie produced and distributed, if it doesn’t languish in what’s known as “development hell”.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter [Paperback] was well researched and the history was on target. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good this book was. In this case the title is accurate, this isn’t a textbook account of President Lincoln’s life, so take it for what it is: a fun read. As a an avid history and horror reader, I really enjoyed this work and I look forward to see what the next project that Seth Grahame-Smith is going to come up with.
