Thx. (sorry i know those are stupid questions but i aint american but im very intrested in such stuff)
Answer by Thomas L
George Washington was the first president of the United States after the Constitution was ratified. Before 1787, there were 14 presidents of the colonies that were elected by the continental congress, so technically he was not the first president. GW died in 1797.
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president and he was assassinated in 1865.
The “best” American presidents is a subjective question, but many people think Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy were two of the best (probably because they were both killed while in office as well as being good presidents).
Answer by Panama Joe
Yes, Washington was the first president of the US under the Constitution. He died in December of 1799.
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president and died in April of 1865, cut down and murdered by assassin John Wilkes Booth, a famous actor of his era. Kind of like Brad Pitt: handsome and popular.
The best three American presidents will bring all kinds of opinions because that’s what you’re seeking: opinions. I say that Teddy Roosevelt was a great president, and so was Harry Truman. Jimmy Carter was also great, and was getting the US off of foreign oil, which Big Oil could never allow.

The best presidents were Jefferson, who doubled the size of the country with the Louisiana Purchase, Polk, who added another 810,000 square miles, and Lincoln, who saved the USA from disintegrating into warring states.
Answer by bookish
OMG, Polk as one of the best Presidents? You’ve got to be kidding. And, quite honestly, JFK wasn’t all that good a President. FDR is considered one of the best, as is Truman.
As for the question, I’m surprised someone who’s not American would use the word “ain’t.” That’s American slang.
Try this link from the White House. It has brief biographies of all the Presidents:

Abraham Lincoln Questions that need Answers!!!!!?
So I’m doing a paper on Abraham Lincoln and a section of said essay requires me to include the perspective others hold of Abraham Lincoln. Here are a few questions. You can choose to answer all or one; any help is appreciated. Thanks!
1.How would you rank Abraham Lincoln in terms of leadership? Why?
2. What interesting fact or aspect of Abraham Lincoln’s life catches your attention and admiration?
3. What words would you use to describe Abraham Lincoln? Why?
4. Many refer to Abraham Lincoln as a hypocrite due to his political decisions. Would you agree with such a comment and why?
Answer by reise26@ymail.com
1. In terms of leadership, a perfect 10, he is probably the best president in US history because he steered the country through civil war, something that no other president has had to do, abolished slavery and reunited the country. I believe he also improved the economy
2. That he was married and loved his wife very much, he lost (I think 2) sons during his lifetime and although he was heartbroken, he stayed with her and continued living as a very good man, he was known as honest Abe for a reason, he was very honest and once walked somewhere between 3- 10 miles from a store after walking 3- 10 miles to get there, realized that the cashier had given him an extra penny, and instead of keeping it, he walked all the way back and returned it! Walking a total of 12-40 miles!
3. Admirable, honest, humble, smart, witty (the man could always laugh at himself)
4. Lincoln was apart of the Republican party, and many of the Republicans were white slave owning Southerners, so while I am not sure, I believe that they found him hypocritical because he supported equality for the black man and the end of slavery.
