He was elected 16th presidant. After he was elected, the South began to break away from the North. Since the time he was elected until his death, his goal was to bring the whole country back together again. Ending Slavery was one of his goals- but it wasn’t his main goal.

In the begining, Lincon only wanted slavery to stay in the south, for it not to spread, But as time went by Lincon say how horrible slavery was and put an end to in everywere.
